ok so after further messing with the hi hat. i also posted at vdrums and drumchat and havent heard back haha. Perhaps try some different cables with it to make sure that isn't the problem.

It sounds like there is a problem with the pedal or the Control Pad. you shouldn't need anything else to make it work. I am probably a bit harsh on the Control Pad when in reality the top 8 triggers are pretty nice. I do use it on my laptop when I jam around sometimes though and it is fast enough to actually let me play so that is all good. Selecting this as your ASIO driver in Live will substantially decrease your latency but it is still not going to perform like a dedicated audio interface. However, you can still hook your kick trigger into one of the actual trigger inputs and it should work fine.Īs far as comfortable foot switches go, I would have to say that the Hosa brand are probably the best that I have felt in that area.īut again, just try hooking up your kick trigger to one of the pad inputs and see how that works.įor latency issues, if you want to continue to use the built-in sound card try installing. I don't quite remember how to change that off hand. If your hi hat pedal is causing the numbers to scroll rapidly it leads me to believe that it is set up to move through kits. I'm nooby when it comes to ableton and midi. However i am using no external sound card (just a mini audio cable coming out of the computer to a speaker) so maybe that has something to do with it. response is generally good on the ControlPad, but response on the pedals and the pads are not as good.

The external pad - 1 doesn't seem to be working - but the one that does, the latency is crap. I can assign any of the 8 pads on the controlpad just fine.Ĥ. Hi hat as switch - i mostly want to use the hi hat pedal as a footswitch to activate looper - but in midi map mode, i can't assign the hh pedal. Velocity (at 4) and sensitivity (at 0?) are turned all the way up i think.ģ. in the pad input or footswtich plug, the activity lights are intermittent (usually not going on), but i do see the sensitivity going up and down as i press the pedal (124-127 ish). The hi hat pedal - it is not working in the pedal input either. Velocity (at 4) and sensitivity (at 0?) are turned all the way up i think.Ģ. Then when it is in the trigger pad input and working - it still doesnt work about half the time, 50% of the notes are missed - the Activity light isn't lighting up on those missed notes either. It does work in one of the drum trigger inputs though (but i need all the inputs i can get!). Main problem is the kick - it doesnt work in the kick input.
